- I need more info on the CD-ROM Commander. I would like to get the demo
- from an FTP site, if someone could provide the file name and full
- address. CD-ROM Commander will enable a 128 with a CMD HD to read an
- attached external SCSI CD-ROM dive. The demo is freely distributable,
- but I have not found it yet. It is on the BREADBOX-CD, but this is a
- mostly German language product and I am not sure that I want to buy it
- just to get the CD-ROM Commander demo. Peter Fiset of PPI, USA,
- supposedly distributes the full CD-ROM Commander version, but he has
- not replied to my inquirery.
-
- Does anyone know the capabilities of CD-ROM Commander, and the
- differences between the full and demo versions? I have read that
- someone in Texas had the demo running but I lost the address.
-
- I will be attending a large local HAM radio swap meet in two weeks and
- I want to know what to look for in a compatable external SCSI CD-ROM
- drive and I want to have the CD-ROM Commander demo so that I can test
- it.
-
- I am not familiar with the Internet search tools, but I do get on a
- friends machine once a month or so and do some basic FTP'ing. I have
- found the listing of he contents of the BREADBOX-CD and the CD-ROM
- Commander demo is contained in two disk image files:
-
- CD_ROM1.D64 and CD_ROM2.D64
-
- Of course the demo files may be archived differently if placed on FTP
- sites. If anyone can help me out here, please reply here as well as
- e-mail. My news server is not very reliable and loses messages.
-
- Thanks, Alan Jones, alan.jones@qcs.org
